How we approach exterior work
Every exterior we paint starts with a real prep day (or three). Pressure clean, scrape failed coatings back to a sound edge, sand, fill, caulk gaps, prime bare substrate. Skip this and the paint fails — we don't.
We use weather-rated exterior systems suited to the substrate: Haymes Ultra-Premium Solashield or Dulux Weathershield on render and fibre-cement, oil-based primers on bare timber, and trim-grade enamels on fascia, gutters and doors. Colorbond and metal trims get etch-primed before topcoat.
We cover weatherboard, rendered brick, fibre-cement, James Hardie cladding, eaves, fascia, gutters, garage doors and timber decks. Two-storey homes, scaffold, and tricky access — all part of the job.

How long does an exterior repaint last on the coast?
With proper prep and a quality system, 8–12 years on walls in a coastal zone. Trim, doors and exposed timber typically need a refresh sooner — usually 5–7 years.
What's the best time of year to paint the exterior?
Autumn and winter on the Tweed are ideal — drier, milder, less humidity. We paint year-round though; we just plan around rain and surface temperature.
Do you handle two-storey homes?
Yes. We bring in scaffold or boom lift where it's the safe option, and our quote includes all access — no surprises on the invoice.
