How we approach roof work
A Gold Coast roof takes more UV and salt load than any other surface on the house. Most roof restorations we quote start the same way: high-pressure clean to strip lichen, moss and chalked coating, then a full inspection for cracked tiles, rusted screws, lifted ridge caps and failed pointing.
Concrete and terracotta tile roofs get broken tiles replaced, ridge caps re-bedded and flexible pointing applied before any coating. Colorbond and metal roofs get rust treated, bare steel etch-primed and fasteners replaced. Then two coats of a heat-reflective acrylic roof membrane go on — sprayed for even build, back-rolled where needed.
We cover Southport, Robina, Burleigh Heads, Nerang, Coomera, Currumbin and Palm Beach, plus Tweed Heads, Banora Point, Kingscliff and the Tweed Coast. Typical single-storey roof restoration runs 2–4 days weather permitting, and every job is licensed (NSW 461243C, QLD 15536255) and fully insured.

Roof painting — common questions
How much does roof painting cost on the Gold Coast?
Most single-storey tile roof restorations land between $3,500 and $6,500 depending on size, pitch, access and how much repointing is needed. Colorbond respray is usually a little less. Quotes are fixed and free.
How long does a roof restoration last?
A properly prepped roof with two coats of membrane will hold 10–15 years on the coast. Roofs in full salt exposure near the beach sit at the lower end of that range.
Can you paint a Colorbond roof?
Yes. Colorbond needs a different system to tile — degrease, treat any rust, etch prime bare steel, then a metal-rated topcoat. We also replace perished screws and seals while we're up there.
Do heat-reflective roof coatings actually work?
In lighter colours, yes — a reflective membrane can drop roof-space temperature noticeably through a Gold Coast summer. The saving is real but modest; the main reason to coat is protecting the roof itself.
